Auction Rules / Reglas de la subasta

English

1. Participation

The silent auction is organised by the St Andrew’s Society of Mexico. Participation is open to everyone; Society membership is not required.

To place a bid, participants must provide their full name, a valid email address and a WhatsApp number, including the country code.

2. Bidding

All bids must be submitted in Mexican pesos (MXN) and must meet the starting bid or the minimum increment above the current highest bid, as applicable.

By submitting a bid, participants acknowledge that their offer represents a commitment to purchase the item if they are confirmed as the winning bidder.

3. Online and In-Person Auction

Online bidding will close before the in-person silent auction. The highest valid online bid will be transferred to the physical bidding sheet, where bidding may continue.

The final winning bid will be determined at the conclusion of the in-person auction. Being the highest online bidder does not guarantee winning the item.

4. Winning Bids and Payment

The winning bidder will be notified after the final auction results have been confirmed.

Payment must be completed within 48 hours of receiving confirmation.

If payment is not received within this period, the St Andrew’s Society of Mexico reserves the right to offer the item to the next highest eligible bidder, subject to their acceptance.

5. Contact and Personal Information

Email addresses and WhatsApp numbers will be used to administer the auction, verify bids where necessary, notify successful bidders and coordinate payment or collection arrangements.

Personal information will not be displayed publicly or shared with other bidders. It will be handled in accordance with the Society’s applicable privacy notice.

6. Acceptance of the Rules

By submitting a bid, participants confirm that they have read and accepted these auction rules.
