We celebrated Burns night 2024

Last Saturday, the Saint Andrew's Society of Mexico hosted a spectacular Burns Supper in Mexico City, and it was an absolute blast!

We were thrilled to see so many enthusiastic attendees gather to celebrate the legendary poet, Robert Burns, and immerse themselves in the rich Scottish culture.

The evening kicked off with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, as guests mingled and shared their excitement for the festivities ahead. The venue was filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of camaraderie.

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the mouthwatering feast that awaited us. From the traditional haggis to the flavourful whisky, our taste buds were treated to an authentic Scottish experience.

As the night progressed, we were entertained by captivating Scottish music and dance, filling the air with melodies and rhythms that had everyone tapping their feet.

Of course, no Burns Night would be complete without the iconic Address to the Haggis. The ceremonial cutting of the haggis was met with cheers and applause, as Burns' famous poem, "Address to a Haggis," was recited with passion and flair.

Throughout the evening, friendships were forged, memories were made, and the spirit of Scottish culture was celebrated in full swing. It was truly a night to remember!

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and made this event a resounding success. Your enthusiasm and energy made the Burns Supper in Mexico City an unforgettable experience.

Also a big thanks and applause to the most helpful committee: Dani, Alba, Rafa, Tania, Mariana, Alasdair and Roberto, without whom this wouldn't be possible.

Stay tuned for future events hosted by the Saint Andrew's Society of Mexico, as we continue to bring the best of Scottish culture to our vibrant community.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey, and we can't wait to see you at our next gathering!
